Free Machine Learning course sponsored by the Istobal Chair.
It will be taught in ETSID Laboratories on the afternoon of Thursday, November 15 and the morning of Friday, November 16 (after the exam week) with a follow-up Diploma. There are 18 places that will be assigned by strict order of arrival, from the publication of this note, an email to the address cistobal@upv.es sent from an official address of the UPV, indicating the name of the person who signs up and the current career and course. Once the places have been completed, the registration deadline will be announced on the ETSID website and the list of admitted students will be published at http://www.upv.es/contenidos/CISTOBAL/ A personalized email will NOT be sent confirming the place. "Machine Learning" is a current trend that is already being applied in different commercial, scientific and engineering sectors. Nowadays it is being used to solve many problems of high complexity whose resolution was not feasible with other types of techniques. The spectrum of situations in which it is considered goes from the analysis of consumer trends to the prediction of the behavior of reactors. It is essential in the driving of autonomous vehicles. The course is taught by the company BigML. BigML is a leading company in Machine Learning that was a pioneer in the creation of the ML as a Service (MLAAS). The year 2011 was founded in Corvallis,(Oregon, USA) with the aim of making Machine Learning simple and accessible to all. The year 2015 opened its European headquarters in Valencia, Spain, to promote innovation in the Turia capital and attract talent from all over the world. BigML offers a consumable, programmable and scalable Machine Learning platform that solves and automates sorting, regression, time series, neural network, clustering, anomaly detection, association discovery, and classification and analysis tasks of texts by subject or topic (topic modeling). The BigML platform helps tens of thousands of analysts, programmers and scientists to transform their data into executable models that can be used as remote services or locally, integrated into their applications, to finally be able to make predictions and make highly automated decisions based on data. BigML has an international team of 32 people, 12 patent applications and 6 granted patents. In addition, BigML contributes to the dissemination of Machine Learning with its events that unite professionals from all types of industries who want to adopt Machine Learning. It also actively promotes the teaching of Machine Learning with its education program already enjoyed by more than 630 universities around the world, along with its schools and Machine Learning courses spread throughout the year around the world.
